02 / Annotate · PeriTag & Iriscope Versioned Project Loop

Revise the AOIs. Retain the history.

The project lifecycle is bidirectional: prepare AOIs in PeriTag, analyze them in Iriscope, return the Iriscope project to PeriTag for re-annotation and add a second versioned AOI set.

The capability

AOI revisions with a clear history.

Keep revised AOI sets in the same project and make clear which set an analysis uses.

01

Round trip

Move from PeriTag to Iriscope and back again.

02

Multiple AOI sets

Layer revised annotation over the same research project.

03

Version context

Preserve which geometry and parser produced each result.

04

Recalculation state

Make visible when revised AOIs require new metrics.

In the application

PeriTag → Iriscope → PeriTag → Iriscope.

Revise the annotations, return the new AOI set and recalculate the affected metrics.

  1. Builder image/video exchange. Send stimulus material to PeriTag and return the annotated AOIs to matching experiment components.
  2. Create and validate the first AOI set in PeriTag.
  3. Import the project into Iriscope and calculate metrics against AOI Set 1.
  4. Open the Iriscope project again in PeriTag, revise or extend the annotation and create AOI Set 2.
  5. Return to Iriscope, select the new set and recalculate while retaining the version and provenance of prior results.
