01
Explicit geometry
Use stored display, viewing-distance and visual-field settings; document any image-percent fallback.
03 / Analyze · Peripheral Vision Analytics
Iriscope analyzes visual geometry around the gaze point through stored visual-field settings, separate foveal, parafoveal and peripheral zones, and time-matched AOI intersections. The result remains an analysis of gaze-related visual context — not a measurement of attention or perception.
The capability
Use this workflow for the part of the research question it addresses.
01
Use stored display, viewing-distance and visual-field settings; document any image-percent fallback.
02
Report foveal, parafoveal and peripheral coverage as cumulative and exclusive areas.
03
Intersect zones with static or dynamic AOIs at the time of each fixation.
04
Retain the selected geometry, radii, fixation source and availability state with the result.
In the application
Keep the relevant material, definitions and review decisions connected at each step.

Method context
The relevant settings, prerequisites and interpretation stay attached to the workflow.
Analyze the visual field around a fixation with the geometry made visible.
Peripheral Vision Analytics uses the same project-side settings for overlay, calculation and export so the visual representation and reported values describe the same method.
The feature makes spatial visual context inspectable. It deliberately does not collapse gaze position, fixation or AOI overlap into a claim about peripheral attention or perception.
Gaze ≠ attention. Fixation ≠ perception.
Peripheral Vision Analytics is designed to make the geometry around gaze inspectable. It must be reported as a gaze-related spatial analysis, not as direct evidence of attention, awareness or perceptual processing.
